As an organization SIBA many types of members, including publishers, associations, educators, and authors. But SIBA's primary mission is to help our core membership -- independent bookstores -- succeed as businesses, including helping to foster useful and valuable relationships with other members of the book industry. To that end, and to help SIBA plan future programming, we would like to hear from booksellers about their experiences in working with authors -- either directly or through a publicist or publisher.
