The Combined Regional Bookstore Banner (CRBB) program is a revolutionary approach to coordinated marketing in the Southern independent bookstore market. The program allows publishers to place a banner ad simultaneously on about 50 independent bookstore websites across the South, thus offering region-wide exposure. CRBB banners always click through to purchase the promoted book from the hosting store site, and bookstores are encouraged to promote and stock CRBB titles in store. CRBB banners also run in The Southern Bookseller Review newsletter.
Program DetailsCRBB important caveat: Like all of SIBA’s consumer-targeted advertising, CRBB banners must click through to a SIBA bookstore destination. Banners cannot use publisher-supplied destination links, and cannot contain action wording that implies an offsite destination – for
example, to an author’s web page or a promotional offer. Generic action wording such as “Read more” or “Buy now” is acceptable. Approximately 50 bookstores are currently participating in the CRBB program and running the banner, including such high-profile stores as Avid Bookshop in Athens, GA, Malaprops in Asheville, NC, Flyleaf Bookstore in Chapel Hill, NC, Fountain Bookstore in Richmond, VA, and Octavia Books in New Orleans, LA. Scheduling: Ads run for one week from Tuesday midnight to Monday midnight on the collective circle of sites. An ad is not considered booked until it is paid for and the ad is received by nicki@sibaweb.com. Design specs: CRBB places your banner on the home pages of participating SIBA bookstores, in SIBA’s weekly bookseller newsletter, and on The Southern Bookseller Review website and newsletter. Banner Display size: 440x125, 125x440, 300x250, 728x90 Contact Nicki at nicki@sibaweb.com for details. |
