Hi SIBA friends, and happy holidays!

In my last membership update of the year, I wanted to let you know about a few projects that we’re working on. The first is an official sunsetting process for when stores close, change ownership, etc. so we can better track those events. We’re also working on updating our resource database to give you access to the most up-to-date information. If you have something that you think other stores could benefit from, please share with us! I’m also working on cleaning up our database and compiling resources for you. Finally, I’m working on monthly “fireside chats” to be held in Discord that will focus on a different topic each month to allow our members more networking opportunities! If you and/or any booksellers at your store would like to receive an invite to the Discord server, please email me.

And of course, I’ll be highlighting more stores on SIBA’s social media next year! I really want to hear all about the cool things your store is doing, so please fill out the Bookstore Profile Questionnaire to tell me about all the awesome things you’re doing and send me a few photos, and I’ll use the information to feature you!
